Kylie's Monthly Team Blog Hop - February 2020 - Special Someone

Special Someone from Stampin'Up® is a dream to work with when you have the "New Special Days Dies."  These are only available from February 4th to March 31, 2020 and while supplies last.

I truly love the simple and clean look of these cards.  Plus they are easy to make.

1st.  You take you sentiment of choice and stamp once in your main color...I used Gorgeous Grape.  Then, I stamped again without re-inking so that it was a lighter shade of that purple.  (This is called generational stamping.)

2nd.  I stamped the "shade" of the squirrel first ( it so much easier to do it this way ...backwards)  using Grey Granite.  You can use full strength or stamp off if you want it lighter.   Next, stamp the "outline" of the squirrel over top, lining up its ears and making sure to keep its tummy and muzzle white.  Die cut him out.

3rd.  Stamp the balloon "shade" in Flirty Flamingo.  The "outline" of the balloon and the tail of the balloon are in Melon Mambo.  Die cut these out as well. 
Tip- keep an eye on the tiny hole, at the end of the tail, on the die cut for the balloon.. you need to see the stamped line of the balloon go through it or you will not cut out your string straight.  Hope this helps :)

Adhere using method of choice.  I used Tombow Mono Liquid Glue from Stampin'Up®.
