Yep...it is flu season and the best way to battle it, besides Grandma's chicken soup is "Painted Poppies" cling set and "So Sentiment" cling set from Stampin'Up®. They are sure to bring cheer to those in need of it.
Materials used: Gorgeous Grape Stampin'Up® Ink Pad,
Granny Apple Green Stampin'Up® Ink Pad,
Bermuda Bay Stampin'Up® Ink Pad,
Mango Melody Stampin'Up® Ink Pad, Stazon Black Ink,
Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, Gorgeous Grape card stock,
Basic Black card stock, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper,
Painted Poppies Cling set, So Sentimental Bundle,
Honey Bee Bundle, Aqua painter, Snail Adhesive
1st I stamped the largest flower in the corner with Stazon Black Ink because I am going to water color and the ink will not bleed or run at all on the Fluid 100 paper. Then I stamped the same image on a post it note and cut it out to act as a mask and placed it right over top my image on my water color paper. This protects my project as I work. I take out the smaller poppy image and stamp it to the left top and to the right. It is fine to stamp on the mask as it will protect the work underneath. Stamp this same small poppy on a post it note and cut it out for a mask just like before. It is fine if this second mask covers your first one. You want to protect both the little and the big poppies as you stamp the leaves in Stazon Ink. I believe I cut my Fluid 100 paper 3 3/4" by 5". The Basic Black mat is 3 7/8" by 5 1/4". The DSP is 4" by 5 1/4".
2nd With an Aqua Painter or with Stamp'n'Blends color in the flowers. I used Gorgeous Grape Stampin'Up® Ink. The leaves I did in Granny Apple Green Stampin'Up® Ink.
3rd. I used the smallest bumble bee from "Honey Bee" and stamped it in Stazon Black Ink. It's stripes are done in Mango Melody Stampin'Up® Ink, and the wings are Bermuda Bay Stampin'Up® Ink. Use the matching die to cut it out.
4th. Use the second and third smallest shape dies in "So Sentimental" for the DSP and scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped "Sending Healing Hugs" in Gorgeous Grape so that it would match the rest of the card.
Lastly use your snail adhesive to put it all together.
