Happy Halloween Friends... I know that I have not been very active blogging this last while. My husband's job took him to a new city and us with him. It has taken us quite a bit longer to find and buy a home that worked for us because of Covid. It will be a bit yet before we are totally settled and find everything...lol. I hope everyone has a safe and happy October 31st.

It is Scary Stampin' Today
It should not be this easy to make a card. I wanted something that was not so time consuming for you. There are days when I like to be creative and take forever on a card and there are other days when I have very little time but yet have to get a card to someone. So with that in mind. This card is for you.
If you ever needed to invest in two bundles, may I suggest Banner Year and Lovely You. They both come with tag punches that use up your left over strips of cardstock and have various uses between the two of them. You will have seen me use them and see more goodies :0)
This is a standard card size of 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" in Basic Gray. I used a die from So Sentimental a rectangle and Ornate Layers and one from Have a Hoot....the spider web. I also used the Banner Year Pick a Punch.
1. Cut five 1/2" strips in varying lengths in leftover Whisper White cardstock and lay them out in different lengths with their edges touching each other. Stamp the bat in Memento black ink and in Smokey Slate. Grey Granite for the webs. Splattered Rich Razzleberry and Memento black ink on top of everything with an Aqua painter.
2. In Rich Razzleberry cardstock I die cut a rectangle from the So Sentimental bundle and glued down the stamped white bat strips in a hodge podge manner. This was then glued on top of an Ornate Layer which was glued to the front of the card base. I did adhere two spider webs to the card as well. Use the picture as a reference.
3. Boo was stamped in Versa ink and heat embossed with White Embossing powder. I did this on a 1/2" piece of Rich Razzleberry which was then layered on a piece of 3/4" Black. Follow the grooves in the Punch tool to make the notches in the cardstock.
The most work is the die cutting. The rest is fairly simple.

Have A Hoot - Boo to You
Boo to You..... I do not know about you but we are getting colder weather than normal for us here in Northern BC. It feels like fall already....and that is a Scary word since it is only the beginning of August as I type this. So, I am inspired to do fall cards. The Nativity Card I did on August 9th, 2020 has the cut out tags from the die that is used from this card....there was no waste at all. Stampin'Up® was so smart to make a window die cut so versatile in this way.
This card is the standard card size at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". That is also the size of the Crumb Cake plaid piece of DSP I cut for the front. The Whisper White Cardstock is cut at 5 1/4" by 4" and the Owl window die is cut out of it.

It Is Never Too Early For Christmas
Stampin'Up® has brought out it's new Holiday 2020 mini catalogue and within it you will find many wonderful treasures. It is a great way to get a jump on those Christmas cards and mail them abroad before it is too late. One of the stamps sets that I have fallen in love with is Peaceful Nativity and For Unto Us. I usually send out 200 cards around Christmas and this is definitely one set that I will enjoy using.
How to Stamp and Draw Joseph and Mary???
I know that you are wondering how Joseph gained an extra hand when his right side is hidden by the manger??? If you are brave and have a Zig Micro Pen you can do a lot of things. (You need a Black Memento Ink Pad as well.)
The technique is called masking. I used washi tape to cover up baby Jesus and carefully stamped Joseph only and pulled off the washi tape before stamping on the tag. Use the Zig Micro Pen (Archival/Permanent) to sketch in the missing robe and hand and leaf (if you want it).
You do the same thing with Mary. Use a new piece of washi to cover up baby Jesus, do try to get all the straw covered, ink only Mary, pull off the washi and carefully stamp Mary on the tag. Use the Zig Pen to draw in any areas that need to be added in.
Use Stampin'Blends® to color the images in.
The dies are from Stampin'Up® Have A Hoot bundle. You will will see a card from them soon.
Baby Jesus......
I stamped him out on a scrap of Whisper White CardStock and then fussy cut him out with a pair of small scissors. Color him in with Stampin'Blends®. Put him in the middle of the largest tag and get an idea of where he sits before you stamp the sheep and donkey. I splattered Wink of Stella on this tag to make it look shiny.
The card base is a standard size 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" in So Saffron.
Banners Pick a Punch was used for the sentiment tags in Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake card stock. The sentiment is from For Unto Us. Each tag is finished off with Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.

Hippity Hoppity....Let's "Welcome Easter" with this cute card.
I must do a huge shout out to my daughter Deborah who loves card making, hmm, I wonder where she got that from. She is the one who actually came up with this card. She wanted a card that would use up all the scrap pieces of card stock that were left over from her creations. Her end cuts from cards that she could not bring herself to throw away. This card was born from that.
