This card I am giving for my mother-in-law for Valentine's Day. She loves flowers and always has a beautiful garden. I thought this watercolor would be perfect for her. Mom, if you see this early...surprise!
I used Stampin'Up® watercolor paper and stamped the flowers in Flirty Flamingo. I used the Aqua Painter and watercolored with the same ink color. The stems are watercolored with Granny Apple Green and the flower centres are done in Soft Suede.
To stamp the flowers you are going to have to make a mask. You will need a post it note with a sticky back and stamp the flower on it and cut it out. Stamp on the Whisper White card stock and put the mask over top to protect it. You can then stamp a flower beside it and have only a part of it showing as part of it will go on the post it mask and not on the actual card. Practice on scrap paper first :).
I used Stampin'Up® Layering ovals for the Ladybug and colored it in using the Stampin® Blends. You will need the Poppy Parade combo pack or Real Red combo pack and the Smoky Slate combo pack.
I mounted the watercolor paper on Basic Black and then on a Flirty Flamingo Base.
Thanks for joining me today, Lisa McDonough, Independent Stampin'Up® Demonstrator. Do you live in Canada? I do and would love to touch base with you. You can contact me by email and even shop with me.
